How Law Firms Appear
“Top-rated” and “Top” refer to law firms with strong publicly available consumer ratings and feedback, including information from third-party sources and reviews submitted on the Elite Litigators platform, and as determined by Elite Litigators’ proprietary methodology.
Law firms labeled as “Featured” or with the Featured Gavel icon are paid advertisements or paid placements. Law firms labeled as “Verified” participate in Elite Litigators’ Verified Program, which is an attorney advertising program and may include compensation for advertising or enhanced placement.
Elite Litigators displays badges next to Verified and/or Featured law firms. Badges are not displayed for law firms that are not Verified and not participating in Featured placements.
Inclusion, labeling, placement, or participation in any Elite Litigators program does not constitute and does not imply an endorsement, recommendation, guarantee of results, or that the quality of legal services provided by any law firm is greater than that of other lawyers or law firms.
Displayed numerical scores are proprietary ratings calculated by Elite Litigators based on aggregate consumer feedback, including publicly available reviews, client reviews submitted to our platform, professional milestones such as experience and case results, and qualitative factors evaluated under our proprietary methodology. Ratings do not guarantee a specific outcome for your case, nor do they imply that a firm’s services are superior to those of others with different ratings.
Elite Litigators’ ratings are calculated on a state specific basis, meaning a law firm’s score may differ from state to state. With the exception of Southern California and Upstate New York, which are treated as separate rating jurisdictions, ratings are calculated at the state level and are comparative to and influenced by other law firms evaluated within that same jurisdiction. Ratings are not calculated at the city or metropolitan level, and firms operating in multiple cities within a state are evaluated using data aggregated at the state level.
Elite Litigators assigns ratings only to law firms participating in its Verified Program. Law firms that are not verified may appear on the platform but are not rated.
