Our comprehensive, four-step selection process to obtain verified status in our attorney directory includes peer nominations, application reviews, background checks, disciplinary checks, licensing checks, and credentialing – helping ensure that only the most elite lawyers in the country attain verification. Attorneys cannot pay to become verified.
Lawyers may be nominated for verified status in our attorney directory by colleagues, associates, clients, or by our selection committee. Once an attorney has been nominated, they are asked to complete an application specifically designed to identify and review premiere litigators based on experience, credentials, and results.
Lawyers are questioned about professional affiliations, years of experience, disciplinary history, continuing education, advanced degrees, professional honors and awards, endorsements by peers, reviews by clients, inclusion in auxiliary directories, and other detailed aspects of their professional record.
Our staff gets to work, ensuring every lawyer who applies for directory verification meets the highest standards of professionalism. Elite Litigators thoroughly examines all applicants’ credentials, from experience and training, to certifications and disciplinary background, to online reviews and honors.
After successful completion of all steps, attorneys are designated as verified in our directory. Additionally, we conduct annual reviews on each attorney to ensure they continue to meet our professional standards, and we provide consumers with the tools they need to do their own research before hiring, just in case!
