I attempted to set up a consultation on behalf of my mother about fighting a change in her late husband`s will. The change attempted to nullify a prenuptial agreement (I believe he was manipulated by his son to do so). The paralegal I spoke to put me on hold and immediately contacted the opposing party`s law firm without asking me. I didn`t want them to know yet that we were considering legal action. She said she talked to the other firm, and they said everything was done correctly. She then consulted a lawyer at her firm, and it was determined that my mother had no case. FYI – prenuptial agreements almost always take precedence over a will or change in a will. It`s a very simple principle apparently unknown to Schmittinger and Rodriguez. After consulting with another firm, my mother received the money she was entitled to.
