Ryan Osterholm and the OFT Law team stepped in to assist our family in garnering a settlement when no one else in their right mind would have taken on the previously filed lawsuit. I became ill during pregnancy with listeria & subsequently had a premature birth, due to eating a contaminated product, that was recalled after consumption. After the corporation involved had agreed to pay all medical bills related to the incident, but then gave the run around, and had threatened me with a “risk manager”, I reluctantly hired a lawyer. I am not a litigious person, and with time dwindling down – I allowed for a personal injury lawyer to file my case. Unfortunately, food born illness law is extraordinarily complicated and not just any PI lawyer is able to appropriately litigate these cases, despite what they may tell you. After two years without any movement towards settlement & a horribly uncommunicative (read: lazy) lawyer, in desperation I Googled firms who would be capable of handling our case. I was in contact with a third party who made me aware that due to the specificity of food born illness, there are essentially three firms in the US capable of litigating these types of cases – OFT Law is one of them. Ryan Osterholm was straight forward from day one. It was difficult and I was so exhausted from all the run around leading up to my conversation with Ryan. I just wanted to find a lawyer that could represent us in a way that would provide justice to our family. I remember crying to him during our first call in the recounting of all the trauma that followed my diagnosis of listeria in pregnancy, even though he could have written off the case as too far gone, too messy, and too much work – he didn’t. Obviously, if you’re reading Google reviews about a food born illness attorney, you haven’t had a good go at things – and hiring the wrong attorney for this particular type of case complicates things much further.
