I retained the Law Office of Darlene Gomez to represent me in my custody case. Throughout the entire period of my representation, I experienced prolonged periods of poor communication and a lack of timely case updates.

There were periods of weeks to months during which I received no communication regarding my case. In most instances, I had to initiate contact myself to obtain updates or information. As a result, I spent nearly a year uncertain about the status of my case.

Before my custody case was resolved, my attorney withdrew from representing me, and I completed the remainder of the case pro se. Representing myself in a family law matter added significant stress during an already demanding period while I was preparing my medical school application.

After my case concluded, I reviewed publicly available client reviews and saw that other clients had described experiences similar to my own. I wish I had seen those reviews before deciding to retain the firm.

Based on my experience, I would not retain the Law Office of Darlene Gomez again and cannot recommend the firm to others seeking family law representation.
