Marissa is compassionate, composed, driven, communicative, and insanely smart. She was incredibly caring for a lawyer (as was her paralegal-the biggest sweetheart), which I didn’t even realize at the time because she was the first lawyer I had ever had. If you don’t feel like she is caring, you’ve just never had a lawyer. She was extremely patient with me. I was in an especially angry phase of everything, send overwhelmed with stress, and I was objectively difficult to work with.

Marissa took initiative like no other. She negotiated well, she did things efficiently, and she was persistent, consistent, and resolute. I honestly think she has the best set of traits possible for a lawyer. You’d be lucky to have her.

I was referred to Marissa Olsson for my maritime claim, and she was so highly skilled and knowledgeable! She was so helpful at every step of the process. I became ill midway through the process and was hospitalized, and Marissa sent me a card in the hospital, and when I was released, she came to meet with us and was so encouraging. She was strong and firm in her resolve with the opposing counsel in that what they had proposed at mediation was not acceptable, and we ended up with a very satisfactory settlement. I appreciated Marissa’s tireless work on this case and her professionalism and knowledge which ultimately resulted in a settlement instead of going to court.
