Jimmy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma—where he was honored as “Top Central Man” for his leadership—and earned a dual JD/MBA from the University of Oklahoma in 2021. Rather than follow the traditional legal career path, he co-founded Lai & Turner with the goal of “doing law differently” and creating a modern law firm rooted in accessibility, empathy, and results.

Licensed in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Washington, Jimmy leads the firm with integrity and a strong commitment to its core values: truth, justice, respect, and empathy. Under his leadership, Lai & Turner has rapidly expanded to serve clients in criminal defense, immigration, estate planning, personal injury, and real estate law. His personal passion lies in immigration advocacy, particularly helping individuals and families pursue the American Dream through lawful entry and residency in the U.S.

Jimmy is an active member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, Chickasaw Nation Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and German, making him especially well-equipped to serve Oklahoma’s diverse population.
