DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER, SAVE YOUR $$ AND MENTAL ANGUISH!!! I’d give him negative numbers if possible. It is my professional opinion as a 30 year RN Mr. Garrett is suffering from dementia. I hired him 4 years ago, and he has yet to do one single thing for me. No communication. In fact he has over $30,000.00 which was paid to me and he has stolen it. He has had it 9 months, and refuses to release it. I’m going to the NM State Bar Assoc. If that doesn’t work, I’m going to sue him and make sure he loses his license to practice. He isn’t really competent. He’s not told me the same thing twice. I knew him years ago, and he was good then. Age has taken its’ toll on his mental status.

We hired Mr Garrett to fight for custody of our grand kids and he fought hard and strong for us and we won and Patti was there for us also and never had a problem answering us thank you guys

This man was the most unprepared and unprofessional “lawyer” I have ever seen. Walked into court Completely unprepared, filed no exhibits at all and must not have even watched the video. At sentencing, he lied about not having seen the priors and allowed the state to use convictions that were uncertified and apparently altered. If you use this man you are out of your mind. And as far as specializing in dwi as stated in his ads. HA HA. My Case was overturned after I spent four years in prison on the most simple and straightforward thing of all. Even so, it was just one of many things that was wrong. The appellate public defender used none of his issues and had the case overturned. Garret said it was because of what he did on the docketing statement and that it wasn’t even briefed. In addition to all that, it really appears as if he colluded with the DA. Be careful. Don’t waste your money or your life with this man. Your life is more valuable.
