Jennifer Zimmerman is an understanding, compassionate and competent attorney. Office staff was difficult to work with. The family law attorney is not on the same level as Jennifer, and I would not recommend her.
My attorney, Lauren Shepherd, was not initially hired with this firm. She moved mid-way through the case, but it seems that when she left, the quality did, too. Our final orders were in February, and since then, my attorney has become non responsive to any emails I’ve sent her. Unfortunately, for me, final orders was not the end of my case as there were so many loopholes left open in the order that left so much room for more manipulation and abuse from my ex, and he’s now in contempt, but nothing is being done about it. In the beginning, she seemed like she really wanted to help me with my post-decree parental alienation case, but she was very passive, and I didn’t get any time back with my son. I don’t feel like she really fought for me at all. And now she’s not answering my emails. During the trial prep, I sent her a bunch of things to use as evidence, and she barely used any of it, claiming we weren’t going to have time to use it all. Our full day trial ended before lunch, so we had plenty of time. It seems for someone with several years experience, she wasn’t very experienced in handling a high conflict case and now I’m left to figure it out on my own or fork out another retainer to another attorney that’s willing to actually fight for my kids’ best interests. Very dissatisfied.
If you find yourself suddenly or slowly revolving around in cascading events; regarding both potential and actual LE actions and need to sort out what is ‘actually’ going on in your circumstances, this IS the team, hands down. Very professional always! Even when you are trying to piece together any clarity that has escaped situation during your consultation. They listen, walk the walk entirely (your walk) with you. Court presentation and respect from judges, DA’s and others is earned. This team has earned via diligence and good work strategy in their case preparations (mine had multiple) that correct words matter to gain that voice YOUR voice, the one that has been drowned out to be ultimately heard. It may take time but worth everything to gain on your behalf. In other words, do not want to envision if I had tried to continue to navigate my case myself.
