Absolutely unacceptable conduct from K. Michael Gillum at Dickinson Wright. As a civil rights activist and business owner, I was shocked to find false and defamatory comments posted directly on my business page by Mr. Gillum—accusing me of insurance fraud with zero evidence. This wasn’t a private dispute—it was a public smear campaign designed to damage my reputation and credibility.

Gillum’s actions were reckless, malicious, and completely unethical. He targeted me while I was actively engaged in civil rights litigation, and even dragged unrelated figures into his slander. Dickinson Wright has yet to take accountability or issue any public correction.

If you value professionalism, integrity, or basic respect for civil rights—look elsewhere. This kind of behavior should never be tolerated from any legal professional, let alone one backed by a major firm.

DW says they are diverse but I was the only brown skin at the firm for years! Hr and the HR director are satans teammates. They are old and they ideology and methods are old. They make rules up as they go. They dont abide in fairness, rather throw a few pennies at you and expect you to sit down and shut up. The culture is that they dont want the legal support staff getting too close to the attorneys. They dont want the attorneys fighting and standing up for their legal staff. There are no bonuses. Only 25 dollar Christmas gift cards. There is 3% raises yearly that keep up with the cost of living. M. Scott is a narcissist who loves only himself and is heartless. Dont waste your time working here!
