BEWARE: DASPIT LAW FIRM IS A SCAM!! They promise you the moon and the stars and then ghost you. My experience has been a nightmare and wish I’d read the reviews beforehand. This is my AWFUL experience:
I had an accident on April 28, 2024 and went on to contact them. It took THREE weeks for them to assign me a doctor and ANOTHER THREE weeks for them to send me to therapy. At the beginning, I was assigned to Austin Delgado, who did nothing for my case and then disappeared. Ryan Boyer took over and proved to be worse because he didn’t even know how to file a claim! I researched him and discovered he used to be a criminal defense attorney with very poor reviews. Looks like he couldn’t make it in that area and shifted to accidents. After Boyer, I was assigned to Luke Hartwick, who took all the information related to my accident for the first time!! It felt like I was starting over since he had nothing to reference. Absolutely nothing! How are there no files or notes to reference??!! What have they been doing to my case files all this time??!! I thought Ryan Boyer was the worst, but then came the worst of the worst!! Andrew Conticelli! This guy spent more than a year telling me, “Your case is priority, number one.” Upon researching him, I realized he was more concerned about keeping up appearances on social media than his work. And then after a year, he disappeared! Then I was in limbo, with no one overseeing my case. After MORE THAN 60 CALLS, someone finally answered and said I was assigned a new attorney, yet again, Gio De León. Sigh. It has now been MONTHS and cannot get a hold of her. I don’t know where my case stands or even if it still stands. They bounce you from attorney to attorney; once one ghosts you/disappears, they assign a new one. And they continue to do this with no resolution to your case. On top of all this, you are going to end up paying 50% in attorney’s fees. They’re a SCAM!! This firm is a SCAM!!
WHATCH OUT!!!!
Based on my personal experience with Daspit Law Firm:
Communication significantly declined after I signed on
Calls and emails frequently went unanswered without repeated follow-ups
I was left unclear about the status and handling of my own case
Important information was not explained proactively or transparently
Reasonable questions were met with delay, defensiveness, or silence
When concerns were raised, pressure replaced advocacy
I no longer felt like a client, but like an inconvenience
My interactions involving Jonathan Webster and John Daspit reinforced these concerns rather than resolving them.
Because of the seriousness of these issues, I contacted the State Bar of Texas and filed a formal complaint based solely on my personal experience.
This firm promotes itself as client-focused and aggressive. That was not my experience.
If clear communication, transparency, and basic professional respect matter to you, I strongly recommend proceeding with extreme caution or seeking representation elsewhere. THEY WILL TAKE ALL YOUR MONEY!
