In August 2018 I was hit by an MTA bus in NYC while riding my bike to work. After my initial hospitalization, I called a lawyer friend to take my case. We settled for a respectable amount. I have no doubt Justin would have won much more at trial but we decided we did not want to go through a lengthy appeal.
