I retained the Barreda Law in December 2021 for my divorce. Within 24 hours of retaining the firm, the owner, Joshua Barreda filed suit and had the opposing party served. From that very first engagement I knew I had made the right choice. Joshua is a high tempo, smart, and strong legal advocate for his clients. He always made the extra effort to calm my fears, uncertainty, and doubts. Throughout over a year long process of constant unreasonable and aggressive tactics employed by the opposing party, Barreda Law consistently blocked and tackled in an incredibly professional and timely manner. Joshua is a solid litigator in trial, although he made every effort to resolve issues prior to trial through mediation. Every opposing argument was extinguished in trial and in the end, he reduced the maintenance length by 85% from the original opposing proposal, secured 50/50 custody for both of my children, and reduced my long-term child support obligations by 25%. The firm is incredibly responsive and friendly to interact with. I especially enjoyed get immediate assistance/guidance from the astute and experienced lead paralegal, Karen.
