Mr. Abdo was known in the court where I was charged. He knew how to navigate the court well and get me a result that was amicable to all sides. I live in Texas, and he was very accommodating to that fact. He was able to solve the entire case within one day of court. Whenever I had questions, I could text him, and he would respond promptly. When it came to choosing a lawyer in that court, Mr. Abdo was the obvious choice, and I have no regrets about choosing him!
As I write this review on the 4th of July, as we celebrate our freedom we have in our independent country, it’s easy to forget how quickly those rights can be taken away with a singular lapse of good judgement. That is exactly what happened to me. I made the critical error of driving after consuming. I was arrested and spent the night in jail, along with now facing serious charges of what the court system defines as ‘super drunk’.
Fearing what was going to happen next, I investigated the internet for some legal counsel. The thought of losing my license, the stain on my driving record, and possible jail time is not the greatest feeling in the world. Freedom and time are priceless, so I did my due diligence in seeking someone to represent me. Making the right decision was critically consequential.
After hours and hours of researching, I stumbled upon Cy Abdo’s services. The reviews left by his previous clients left a rather warm impression on me. After contacting and conversating with Cy about my dire situation, I knew my search was over. He assured me that he would fight for the best outcome possible. His only stipulations were that I followed his directions and did everything that was asked of me… and that I did.
When it comes to my expectations in life, I always tend to stay on the low side so that I am not blindsided with disappointment but always hoping and wishing for the best. I had an idea of what my consequences would be, and I was content with those thoughts. I expected fairly harsh charges as a result of my impulsive decision but was praying to at least avoid jail time. The pretrial came, and after presenting the prosecutor with all of the work that Cy had asked of me, he had negotiated my charges down to an operating while visible impaired. When Cy gave me the news, it went completely over my head. I didn’t even realize the magic this man did until I had returned home and was putting my key in the lock of the door. I thought to myself, “did he just say dropped to OWVI”? Was I hearing things?
A month later at the sentencing, that was indeed the charge. I am now on probation for 180 days, with driving privileges to and from work and important appointments, along with random testing. No jail time. No devices attached to my body or car. There are no words that describe how pleased I am with the results of Cy’s work.
If you find this review and are on the fence about what to do or who to go to, I hope this huge epic novel of a story easily sways your decision. The most valuable thing we all have on the planet is time, and I’m grateful that I had Cy to fight for me so that I could keep a good portion of it.
Cy Abdo is a personable upstanding lawyer that gets stuff done. He took on my case, was willing to listen to my story, and was able to communicate that to the courts in a way that produced stellar results.
