Such nice people
We worked with Lance to work up a legal sale of our business. It started out ok and appeared to finish fine but the red flags during the process came to fruition after a few months. Lance would be impatient when the contract would need changes due to Covid effects on our buyer, requiring us to help the buyer succeed, while ensuring we were protected in the contract verbiage. He would complain in an unprofessional, non-problem solving way, dragging the phone calls out longer. We sensed he was purposely running up the time to be able to charge more, with unhelpful venting. We would constantly have to reiterate several important things for him to include. We finally got the business sold and contracts signed. Our bill from Lance was sizable and even though we felt he was messy and unprofessional we would pay it without questioning it. Due to Covid we did delay, but we paid it within a couple months. Six months later when the buyer was defaulting on payments, we reached out to Lance to ask where & how he had set up the “late fees” mentioned in the contract⮥ven just the percentage. He flatly informed us he was sorry, but we would need to seek another lawyer and he did not even answer the question that pertained to his responsibility. We have a new lawyer that is much more professional and very sharp. He was blown away that Lance never arranged any legal recourse for us to collect late fees. He quickly saw other crucial areas that Lance had left us defenseless. We are reasonable, professional people who have been in business for over 30 years. This review is not inflated. We had to pay thousands to clean up his loose ends. We would never recommend his services and felt compelled to leave this review to help others.
Utilized this firm for a probate. They failed in so many ways to include proper direction, inability to send out accurate information to all parties involved, unable to accurately copy documents for all parties involved, putting the wrong name for the deceased on records they were preparing for the court, and inability to read both the front and back of a document. They blamed this on working partially off site due to Covid-19 but it is hard to understand how they can use a computer when in the office but not at home. If you want to stay on top of the process all of the time and have them correct their many errors then they are 5 star but if you want it done right the first time around look elsewhere.
