Was extremely surprised what was done to help me.

Estate / Probate: I spent all of 2022 working with Attorney Brian Barrington, Esq. on a very painful process of probate and estate evaluation. Without airing all of my family’s dirty laundry, my family had left no will or estate plan in place for when they passed away leaving me nowhere to start when my parents passed away. To make matters worse, it was not a straight forward process as multiple properties were involved and they were sole proprietors. We had to evaluate if it was worth opening probate in the first place, let alone navigating the painful process of probate (contacting other lawyers, dealing with multiple banks that own the multiple properties, dealing with any debt that stepped forward) on top of dealing with the loss of my family was just an overwhelming process I wanted almost nothing to do with. Brian reassured me of the process and options we had. I was constantly anxious at the thought of running the estate as I weighed my options and ultimately decided to throw Brian into the Captains wheel while I cried below deck, unable to face the mess myself. Along the year I only received a few short but to the point emails about any ‘large’ developments or if he needed signatures. I was so grateful I wasn’t bombarded by questions, decisions, or weekly updates, because emotionally I couldn’t handle more and Brian understood that. Brian simply did everything and allowed me to sleep at night without worrying who was going to knock on my door or what lawyer firm was going to reach out to me next (which was the case already, prior to Brian). This whole experience brought me peace of mind that I tried to settle matters cleanly and to get all the third parties to stop contacting me. I wanted to move on with my life without being reminded my parents are gone and things were left messy. Today I feel relieved that the estate issues and questions are behind me, and I’m grateful Brian was at the helm. I would happily recommend him for estate and probate navigation if you are lost or overwhelmed at the process.

Don’t bother waiting weeks for a call back, or response to an email. Even after they already did some work on your behalf, you will be left hanging. So, just use Google and find someone that will call you back and follow through. The lady that answered the phone was very nice and professional. I regret having to leave such a low rating for a hometown lawyer office, but really, they earned it.
