To all concerned: My name is John J. Mulbury, and I would like to thank Tom for all that he has done for my wife and I since I was hit by a car and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Here’s my story. On 31 October, 2020, I was riding my ElliptiGO (bicycle) when I was hit by a drunken driver in South Tampa, Florida. The guy that hit me changed my life. I don’t recall the guy hitting me, and I don’t recall any of the first several months I spent in the hospital. I vaguely recall, about 6 or 8 months later, thinking that I was still in the Army, when I had actually retired 4 years previously. I couldn’t walk for the first several months after he hit me, and eventually “graduated” to using a walker and then a cane. I completed the Poly Trauma Rehabilitation Program, and I’m learning more about my TBI all of the time. I’m realizing now that “things” will never be as they were before. But as my attorney, Tom has made my struggles manageable. He helped me and my wife to survive, which was no small feat. I have to handle what that driver put me through , and adapt to a changed life. I can do that. It won’t be fun or even similar to what I spent my life planning for, but it will work. Tom has done so much for my wife and I. We owe him so much and we are so grateful.
