We had paid an attorney in this firm – for a bond hearing – and once hearing was set- we reached out to confirm and we’re told the hearing was set- then – later – that evening – found out that it somehow it wasn’t set (they had electronically sent documents Vs going in person – then was able to send the docs to the D.A. And the D.A. Actually submitted our attorneys documents to the clerk – the original atty. Said they’d try to get it on docket for next day. (No promises) . We were told that it probably wouldn’t be in the morning since it wasn’t on the docket yet (we asked for a text or a call so we could be there for our family member). Well the following day – it was set but no one informed us. – (so no family was there for this inmate) 🙁 – then to make matters more complicated – it was a partner of the firm (not the attorney we hired- who showed up for the bond hearing which was ok except he didn’t take time to ask the inmate any questions and didn’t know him well enough- nor did he take time to talk to the inmate prior to talking to the judge – to get All the information needed to argue on his behalf. There was so much that should have been said that wasn’t and the bond was denied because the judge didn’t have All the information. The orig attorney that we hired – couldn’t make it to the hearing – and the inmate just wasn’t represented properly in our opinion. Because the partner was missing pertinent information. You only get one chance to get a bond – in circuit so the inmate was in our opinion – not given proper representation for that hearing. This is 2023 -and the atty mentioned a failure to appear from 2013 (ten years ago/ as if that had a huge bearing on his bond hearing – we all know better than that. We have been to enuf of these hearings – and our step dad is an attorney and step brother is a judge – so we aren’t uninformed by any means. We just felt that he was not Properly Represented by this firm and hence is stuck in the jail until the next court date. (So instead of working to make money to pay for all of this he is stuck in jail-and we have to support him. He had a good job and was working too- prior to this hearing.
If you want your money stolen.
Mr. Bruch and Lori were fantastic to work with and the cost was much more reasonable than any other lawyer I could find in the area. They provide you with a list of recommended paperwork/ certificates to provide for court and helped me get my 75/55 speeding ticket dismissed. Could not recommend them more, thank you!
