I met Attorney (Aaron) Kass through mutual philanthropic endeavors and was thrilled to be able to use him as a resource for questions related to my own PI-adjacent work (disability). I was referred to Attorney Jude Wikramanayake by a realtor to consult with on a landlord-tenant matter. I sent him an email outlining the situation and followed up with a call when the office opened after the July 4th holiday. When I did not receive a response from the attorney, I contacted the office yesterday afternoon to schedule a formal consultation. The receptionist did a brief intake and scheduled the appointment. First thing this morning, I receive a call from the office receptionist stating Jude directed her to cancel my appointment because he does not service the Baltimore County area. Nobody wants their time wasted. Clearly, some training is in order for the front desk staff because 1) a consultation should never have been scheduled if the firm only services select parts of Maryland and 2) my legal matter was not one of their practice areas. Finally, a simple acknowledgement to my email by Attorney Jude letting me know that he could not assist me would have been the courteous thing to do.
