I was hit by a car last year. I chose law offices of Samuel A. Segal to represent me. He worked very hard at resolving my case quickly and efficiently! Sam is a very nice guy and knows how to talk to clients, but when it comes to getting a fair settlement he falls short. He started off by negotiating close to 100k for my mother’s settlement, but ended by slowly decreasing his offer until reaching around 15k. When I expressed concern over the extremely low offers I asked if we could part ways. He responded by immediately sending me an invoice, demanding he get paid. With my own settlement he reached an extremely low offer as well. Eventually I felt pressured into signing the documents. In hindsight I should have picked someone with more experience. This felt like dealing with a grad student instead of a serious practicing lawyer.
