I engaged Joyce and Berry Law to file for Social Security Disability in January 2023. I filled out the application they sent me and returned it to them. 4 months later, I checked my SSN account and it was showing an error. I called Joyce and Berry Law and they said they would check on it. I watched my account and the error eventually disappeared. About 4 months after that I saw that there was no SSDI application listed against my account. I called Joyce and Berry to see what the status was and told them I didn’t see any application. I also told them at that time that I wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to lose time because they missed a deadline. I was told this WILL NOT happen. Well, today I called SSN and they said I have no application on file. Joyce and Berry didn’t follow up or even check on the application the first time. As a result the application was closed. According to the woman that I talked to, the only thing that can be done is to start over. So effectively, due to Joyce and Berry’s incompetence, I will lose $46,500 in back pay, minus their cut. If what you want to engage Joyce and Berry is critical, you might want to look elsewhere. I just spoke to London Disability and I’m having them take the application over. They will contact Joyce and Berry directly to notify them. Run, don’t walk from this firm.
