Ross was on our side until there was not a lawsuit.

I think he’s competent but the billing is way out of order.. We still get statements and bills for work “completed”.

Our case “ended” when the deposition of their surveyor went so far south the developer sold the property June of 2022. The plantiff lost standing and no longer owned the property next door, yet, I received bills in 2024 for October 2022 when the attorney billing didn’t even work for Pepper (he started in January 2023). Pepper was ill in Dec.2022. He could not have “worked for us” Pepper admitted the “plantiff’s attorney was not returning calls after deposition June 2022”. These bills in “2023” were never billed until 2024.

He was on his own side all along, not our partner at all only $$. I was disappointed in that.

I had a very poor experience with Ross. He remained inattentive during the entire process leading up to litigation. I literally had to repeat myself over and over and constantly remind him of details and he would still forget. What is horrible is that I spent countless hours doing this while he was charging me a hefty hourly fee. He would “nickel and dime me” when it came to everything. He also came unprepared to the case and of course we did NOT prevail as he expected we would. I do not recommend him at all. He did not do his due diligence in my case and his fees were ridiculous. He would bill for himself and his associates. I received multiple double billing statements where he claimed he was billing the same rate for his associate when his associate was “working” with him. Be careful they can double bill you for 17 hours at a time. If it showed they were doing the work I would have less of a problem with it, but in my case Ross was clueless.

We have worked with Ross Pepper when we needed local counsel. They are smart, diligent, and effective. Look forward to working with them again.
