I was really pleased with the process everything was explained along the way and was done diligently. Will very highly recommend in the future.
I’m writing this again to cleary explain what happened to me and how it’s extremely important to have proper communication between the staff at this lawfirm and Mr. Robert Greening. My mother passed away last August and it was a wrong diagnosis to include mistakes that occurred. I went to a shipping & printing business to have copies of all the medical records copied and shipped via UPS ground. (tracking # provided) This method provided me with a tracking # to insure status of delivery. As a grieving daughter, I want nothing more but respect regarding all personal information pertaining to my moms passing and confidential information. This is where things take a huge turn. I was contacted by Dylan informing me that the case was denied and if I’d like he could shred all my mothers paperwork and send over a thumb drive by mail. I immediately asked if he could send it via certified or FedEx to assure proper delivery due to issues we’ve been having in our neighborhood. He said he was going to ask if he could do that, and if approved, he would send me the tracking #. The days passed and I didn’t hear back from him so I followed up asking if the thumb drive had been mailed. Dylan informed me that he wasn’t given the okay to send as I requested and sent it regular mail using a .60 cent stamp. (NO TRACKING #) Time went by and the envelope never got delivered. I called to inform Dylan in which he said to give it a little more time. February 25th, the envelope arrived with a .60 cent stamp and NO THUMB DRIVE! There was a cut on the left side top corner where someone took out the thumb drive. 1,371 pages of CONFEDINTIAL information to include medical records, funeral information, my first and last name, my mothers death certificate, social security #, my signature, my aunts signature were all on the drive. Needless to say, after informing Dylan and emailing him pictures of the envelope he quickly sent me the information via DROPBOX. Why couldn’t he have done this to begin with. This doesn’t sit right in my heart and mind. I have a relative who worked for an attorney for years and she was shocked about how this was handled by this lawfirm. She said NEVER had she been instructed to send any mail via regular mail. No respect at all for my feelings while my heart still aches about the loss of my mother. I’ve had more sleepless nights since the thumb drive got stolen. This lawfirm has only made my healing process harder.
This is my final review for GreeningLaw, P.C. Upon reading your reply from my google review, I’m writing back to say my final words. 1. The business standard for checks (any amount) if lost or stolen, can be stopped for payment. You can not compare a check to a thumb drive that held very sensitive information. 2. Dylan was aware from the second he told me about mailing the thumb drive that we have been having on-going issues with receiving mail in the area. I specifically made it clear not to mail it regular mail. He was told by you, Mr. Greening, to send it via regular mail. What’s upsetting me more is that I mentioned to you that Dylan was aware before the letter got mailed of the issues in the neighborhood. In which, you stated on the phone conversation with me that Dylan might have failed to understand that we were having issues in the area in which we weren’t receiving most of our mail. 3. Mr. Greening, coming to Houston and delivering the drive per your response back to me this morning was not a trip for me. You stated on our phone conversation that you would be in town and if I’d like you could meetup with me. I told you that Dylan had sent a dropbox file in which you knew he sent. Your offer to personally deliver the drive was not to just accommodate me and my feelings, but it seemed you had other business to take care of here in Houston. 4. The heartbreak of this all is that your response back to me today came through as deceptive. Your staff was aware of the mail issue before the envelope got mailed. Your response back on google was that I didn’t inform your employee on time. NOT TRUE! Overall, this makes your staff and lawfirm untrustworthy and negligent of handling confidential information. I know what’s been done has already been done, but what I was looking for was accountability for your employees actions and not excuses for not taking my matter to heart or taking it seriously. The example you used regarding settlement checks is not applicable to the situation. My mothers information can’t be stopped as a check can easily be voided and re-issued. God knows the truth and I’m not one to lie. It’s already a hard battle of grieving and now this makes it harder for me to rest easy knowing that my mother’s info was stolen. Would you send your families information via regular .60cent mail that held a ton of confidential and sensitive information? I have email traffic from Dylan, saved, stating the issues we have been having receiving mail. Dylan emailed me telling me that he asked you about sending it a different way and you told him to send it regular mail. I have proof in my email that Dylan asked you if he could mail it via certified or FedEx and he emailed me back saying you told him to send it regular mail. So who is lying? This is so hurtful. -Marcie L.
