As I’d woken in a hospital bed, I find tall, strapping, muscular man wearing a spandex suit and a red cape. With his arms extended he yells I am EshelMANNNNN, soaring out the window as quickly as he appeared. Jason, call-sign jdogg, flew to the insurance companies front door at Maverick Mach 10, as his body releases a sonic boom, shaking the community beneath. I AM ESHELMANNNNN, he alerts with a tone of strength and anger, demanding submission from all the peons and peasants, alike. They raise the white flag, and it becomes abundantly clear that they’re simply too late. It was never found what went on in that building over that year. Some suspect there were a lot of legs broken. Other report he leveled the entire Allstate Army, one man at a time. But much like the Bermuda Triangle, the facts and reality of this experience just seem to dissolves to faint memories from the distant past. The year wasn’t spent in waste, as when Jdogg returns, he comes with resolution to my claims as best as they possibly could have gone. Nothing was worth the experience that I was forced to endure, but this would’ve gone so much worse if I had to fight this under my own super powers, or lack thereof. The only thing more satisfying than the conclusion was looking in the rear view mirror and seeing the Allstate building leveled to the ground, with smoke still rising from the slow smolder. The world will never know how this mission got accomplished. Eshelman was never seen in Allstate-land again. Although, there have been some whispers among the residents that we may want to keep our eyes on the Progressive building… I hear there’s going to be a show there, next. I had the fortunate chance to grab a meal with Jason weeks later. He showed up dressed professional, in a suit, completely normal as one would expect. Nothing was ever said about our adventure that year, but just know that I know… Just know that I know the truth about Jdogg and how things really work in the insurance world. Don’t fight your battle yourself – you won’t win. I never did see Eshelman again. In a way, I hope I never have to. But I do find comfort in knowing when the punch knocks you completely down, he will show up. Oh, how does one reach this saviour? It starts with a phone call, and ends with a shining light at the end of a dark… Very dark tunnel. Or for those of us who know the real truth… Just close your eyes, take a deep breath, and whisper to yourself… Talk to me, Goose as you hear that so familiar sonic boom fly by – and off he goes to fight your fight.
