Barry is very knowledgeable about comp laws. He’s very upfront and to the point with you about what you have or do not have. Gives you guidance along your journey with him. If he says he can do something for you he can. All around solid guy with a solid company.
Not professional at all. I called this firm for a free consultation regarding an existing member receiving social security moneys, but when I spoke to the attorney whom never told me his name, he belittled me and talked down to me about me inquiry stating “there’s nothing you can do about it. Goodbye.” He then hung up on me before I had a chance to respond. Just like another 1 star review, Cory Schlis was also hung up on in the same way, but the firm claims he was never in contact with them. I, however, attached a phone record which shows that I was in contact with the firm and that the firm actually called me. I was treated with such disrespect in such a short call, and I can only assume that any client of theirs will be treated with the same disrespect and belittlement that I faced. If I could give zero or negative stars, I would give that. Do not go with this firm! Edit after owner response: Mr. Adler claims I kept mentioning “advice [I]he received from other lawyers”. He was actually the first attorney I talked to. After my talk with Mr. Adler, only then did I contact other lawyers. From these respectful, knowledgeable, attorneys, not only was I directed to someone who could help, I was also informed that Mr. Adler is largely unknown to the area of Traverse City. Perhaps this is why he was so uninformed about how to help me. For a lawyer like Mr. Adler to “not handle survivors benefits”, he was very sure of himself that I was powerless in my situation even though he never allowed me to fully explain my situation and efforts up until that point. Again. This firm is Unprofessional with a capital U. In Mr. Adlers response, he only further proves my point. Instead of addressing my inquiry and trying to appear the least bit understanding or apologetic, he instead resorts to slang(“internet troll”) and he refers to my age in an effort to discredit me. He is supposed to be professional, and should not treat any person as he treated me. However, I, a 17 year old, will be the bigger man in this and I will be first to apologize for any misunderstanding or apparent disrespect that I may have presented in my approach to Mr. Adler. He may wish to resort to more slang or he may equally lend an apology as I have here. In the case that Mr. Adler apologizes and realizes his wrongs, I will up my rating to a 2-star rating, drop the “not professional” tag, and we will leave it as such. I will wait patiently for a response from Mr. Adler.
I’m a 45 yr old and it’s hard to get disability at my age he got it for me his firm is top notch they communicate and explain everything very well he basically saved me and changed my life
